In 2012 formation and training will be conducted for cantors/psalmists, singers and musicians dates and venues pending.

Choir members, musicians and animators are invited to this program of training and formation which will provide guidelines for the ministry and practical training in the following areas:

1. Music & General Instruction of the Roman Missal;
2. Structure of the liturgy and the place of chant/music in it;
3. Objective musical/liturgical/pastoral principles in the choice of music;
4. Roles of the priest, choir, cantor and congregation in liturgical music;
5. Liturgy, music and children;
6. Tips for introducing new music to a congregation;

The session aims to assist choir members, musicians and animators to provide music which is worthy, drawn from the whole of the Church's tradition and which lifts the whole person to God. It will help further enhance your parish’s experience of liturgy and sense of the sacred.

This will be a morning well spent for those interested in broadening their knowledge of how to choose suitable music for the Sunday liturgy.
